Are Mercury Racing Bravo I® FS, XS, XC, LT, OC and Lab Finish worth the money?

Based on feedback from our customers, the answer is yes. Mercury Racing propellers are hand crafted by highly trained experts dedicated to “designing a propeller to maximize boat performance and handling in any application”.  The Mercury Racing Bravo I® FS, XS, XC, LT, OC and Lab Finish propellers deliver unmatched time-to-plane performance, mid-range punch, mid-range cruise and top-end speeds for outboard bass, flats, cat flats, bay boats, offshore center consoles and sterndrive deck and vee bottoms under medium to heavy load.

“Like the lab finish props, the Pro Finish propellers start as a raw casting from the Mercury Plant 98 stainless steel foundry, the cup is blueprinted, achieve zero balance, and the blades are slightly thinner on the leading edge, but not as extreme as a Lab Finish prop. The result is usually an increase of 2 to 3 mph in top speed and 150 to 200 RPM over a stock prop.

Considering an average cost of approximately $500 to blueprint a propeller after its purchase. It is clearly advantageous and more economical to consider buying a factory blueprinted Mercury Bravo I, FS, XS, XC, LT, OC and Lab Finish from the Mercury Racing team.

To maintain similar engine operating rpm in single engine applications, switching from a Tempest® Plus to the Bravo I® FS would require a 1-inch increase in pitch. A switch from the Fury® and Revolution 4® to the Bravo I® FS would require a 2-inch increase in pitch.
