The Mercury Tempest Plus three-blade propeller 8M0151380 with it's large diameter of 14.6" is an all-around great performer, designed for a variety of applications from bass boats to center consoles, bay boats and other sport boats with outboard power and multiple engine setup. The 14.6" large diameter is paired with a high rake design with the blades swept back towards the rear, and added cup for good holding. These aggressive angles of the Mercury Tempest Plus propeller are designed to get the hull up and out of the water. The added lift is crucial for fishing boats applications that can be loaded with batteries, fishing gear, and full live wells.

The Tempest Plus propeller also features Mercury's Performance Vent System (PVS). This allows for exhaust to aerate the water around the blades. Which it turn, makes it easier to for the larger diameter of the Tempest Plus propeller to turn up quickly. Once the propeller has spun up, gripped the water, and began to accelerate the PVS holes essentially "close off" and the exhaust begins to flow strictly through the hub of the propeller.
